Our Advanced Trauma Med course is designed for individuals who want to take their emergency medical skills to the next level. This course builds on the principles taught in Level 1 and 2 Trauma Med and focuses on advanced assessment, decision-making, and interventions in high-stress, realistic scenarios. Students will be challenged with complex trauma simulations and will learn how to manage multiple casualties, work under time constraints, and operate with limited resources. Whether you’re a civilian, first responder, or member of a tactical team, this course will refine your ability to respond effectively when seconds count. Completion of Level 1 Trauma Med or equivalent training is recommended.

- Advanced hemorrhage control techniques
- Airway adjuncts (NPAs, OPAs) and suction
- Needle decompression and tension pneumothorax management
- Triage and prioritization in multi-casualty incidents

- Prolonged field care considerations
- Building and utilizing team-based response
- Medical decision-making in austere environments
- Trauma scenarios with limited equipment and high stress

There is no required gear for this course. All medical training materials will be provided. However, the following items are recommended for student comfort and participation:
-Notebook and pen
-Water and snacks
-Comfortable clothing (hands-on work may be conducted on the ground)
-Weather-appropriate outerwear (class may include outdoor demonstrations)
-Sturdy footwear
-Personal first aid kit or IFAK (optional—bring if you’d like to compare or ask questions)
