During the classroom time, we will discuss common medicinal needs in modern life and in the backcountry that can be addressed by autumn wild medicinal plants. We’ll explore the five major plant families and the unifying medicinal value of each, and the plant parts used for medicine at this time of year. During the practical part of the class, we will go outdoors to locate various plants that can be used medicinally, and learn the folk method of making a tincture and a tea.
