Becoming a responsible citizen is an important part of living in this great country. With our freedoms come responsibilities.
The Responsible Citizen program is a new statewide program that we are launching which consists of a series of courses designed to cultivate citizens that are prepared and capable as well as building a stronger community.
We will work together alongside our first responders to instruct and guide you. Skills we will cover will include Land Navigation and Lost Proofing, First Aid and CPR, Basic Survival, Trained Observer, and more. The goal is to create a stronger relationship between our first responders and our citizens and together strengthen the community.
This course will prepare you for the realities of an emergency and teach you to how to be ready for action when disaster strikes. You will learn how to become a trained observer and how to manage yourself, those involved, and the scene in an emergency situation until first responders arrive. Using the six-step process that we have designed, this course will prepare citizens to be better able to handle emergencies by being more observant, keenly aware, and educated. We will cover 911 communication, becoming a trained observer, situational awareness, medical emergencies, and defensive emergencies.
Course Time: 6:00PM - 8:00PM
Course Location: 2211 W 3000 S, Heber City, UT 84032
