This course will teach you the fundamentals of wild medicinal and edible plant identification and many of the most abundant wild medicinal and edible spring plants of the Southeast.
During the classroom time, you will learn how to look at a plant in order to positively identify it, the characteristics of the plant families with numerous edible and medicinal members, and how to forage for food and medicine safely.
During the practical part of the class, we will explore the outdoors to locate various plants that can be harvested for use as medicine and food, learn how to process each, and any potential dangerous look-alikes.
