Fieldcraft Survival Responsible Citizen Course Series

Becoming a responsible citizen is an important part of living in this great country. With our freedoms come responsibilities.

The Responsible Citizen program is a series of 5 courses designed that we offer free to the community to cultivate citizens that are prepared and capable as well as building a stronger community.

We will work together alongside our first responders to instruct and guide you. Skills we will cover in the full program include defense, survival/bushcraft, and medical skills. We also cover the Pillars of Preparedness which explore your preparedness preparation covering various platforms including EDC/Person, Mobility, and Homestead. The goal is to create a stronger relationship between our first responders and our citizens and together strengthen the community.

The Course Series is as follows:

Pillars of Preparedness

Pillars of Preparedness is the introduction to the Responsible Citizen program and explores the different platforms in which you need to implement your preparedness plans and reviews how to build those plans for EDC/Person, Mobility, and Homestead applications. We’ll review what kit you should have and how to create a plan to be prepared in each of these situations.

Defense

This course will give you a basic understanding of Defense in all aspects. We will cover the following topics:

  • Home Defense
  • Self Defense
  • Protecting your Family
  • Defense from your vehicle
  • And More!

First Aid

This course will cover the basics of First Aid. In many cases, you are your own first response in an emergency. You need to be prepared to take the necessary measures that could save your own life or others. Topics covered will include:

  • Stop the Bleed
  • Tourniquet use and application
  • What to keep in your First Aid Kit

Basic Survival

This course will give you the foundations in basic wilderness survival. Topics covered will include: 

  • Survival Mindset
  • Building your Survival Kit
  • Knot Tying
  • Environmental Conditions
  • Building a Shelter
  • Food and Water Procurement
  • And much more!

 

Pre-Requisites

There are no pre-requisites or recommended courses to take before Basic Carbine.  This is an entry level high overview series of classes that will build your skills and understanding from the ground up. 

How to get the most out of the course:

This course generally runs 1.5-2 hours, typically on a Wednesday or other weekday evening. However, be sure to check the specific course page for detailed schedule in your location as time and length may vary based on specific circumstances.

Responsible Citizen is a intro series to all of Fieldcraft Survival training.
