Doctors, nurses, medics, firefighters, and veterinarians from diverse backgrounds will come together to ensure you never feel helpless in a medical emergency. The Medical Conference will combine both seminar-based blocks as well as scenario-based experiential sessions. This will allow you to learn and then immediately put what you have learned to the test. If you have a background in a medical field or are just beginning your medical training, this training is for you.

After signing up, you will receive an email prompting you to specify your preferences for the training blocks you would like to attend. You will be asked to rate your interests, ensuring we tailor the conference experience to your individual needs. Ahead of the event, a detailed schedule will be crafted and emailed to each attendee, allowing you to plan your weekend accordingly. While the days will be intensive, this is deliberately structured to provide ample opportunities for learning and gaining valuable experience. You should not feel pressured to attend every class; rather, you are encouraged to prioritize sessions based on your interests and availability. The conference is designed to empower you to get the most out of your experience, fostering a supportive environment where learning and personal growth are paramount.

Course Options:

  • CPR:

    Join us for an engaging and interactive CPR and Basic Life Saving Certification Course designed to equip you with the essential skills to handle medical emergencies confidently. In this course, participants will learn life-saving techniques such as CPR, AED operation, and basic first aid procedures. Our expert instructors will guide you through hands-on simulations and scenarios, ensuring you gain practical experience and the confidence to act swiftly in critical situations. Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively to cardiac arrest, choking, and other medical emergencies, potentially saving lives in your community. Learn to stay calm and composed under pressure, knowing you have the skills to provide immediate assistance until professional help arrives. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a CPR and Basic Life Saving Certification, recognized nationally and internationally, demonstrating your commitment to safety and preparedness.

  • Search and Rescue Experience :

    This block is for the outdoor adventurists seeking an experience that will get your mind racing and your heart pumping. Rendering aid in the backcountry comes with many challenges. Challenges that you will want to experience before you ever have to face them with a life on the line. Come test or learn the skills required for finding, treating and evacuating casualties in the wilderness. Work along side other students to make the right decisions needed to get our casualties to the chopper.

  • Vehicle Trauma Experience :

    This will be an immersive block of training designed to help give you experience making decisions treating casualties in and around vehicles. Car accidents are an extremely common context in which trauma skills may be called upon and having experiences in that context will help set you up for success on how to manage them. In this block you will be placed in a scenario with one or more casualties to treat and the scene will be yours to manage. Whether you have a lot of experience or a little, you’ll gain valuable insights into how your training and plans stood up to the unique challenges of treating the injured in their vehicles.

  • Stop the bleed:

    Bleeding to death is the leading cause of preventable death in traumatic injuries. Acquiring the skills taught in this course could mean the difference between life and death for someone in need. Discover our unique and comprehensive approach to the traditional Stop the Bleed course in our Comprehensive Stop the Bleed Certification Course. Led by high-caliber instructors with diverse experience and perspectives, this course goes beyond the basics to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to traumatic injuries and control bleeding.

    Instead of feeling helpless in the face of emergencies, empower yourself to make a difference and potentially save lives. Explore bleeding control techniques, wound packing, tourniquet application, patient assessment, and more through interactive demonstrations, simulations, and hands-on practice sessions.   • K9: 

    The K9 medicine training block will highlight common medical emergencies canines may experience and educate their owners or handlers to recognize, treat, and prevent these health hazards. This instructional seminar is designed to teach you the basics of canine patient assessment, with hands-on experience learning the basics of wound management and CPR. In addition, you will gain the knowledge of what medical emergencies to expect in different scenarios, from urban to backcountry settings, to design a canine-centered first aid kit tailored to your needs. Our goal is to prepare you to protect your canine companion in all situations.

  • Mass casualty/Active shooter:

    Immerse yourself in an intense and immersive training session focused on responding to a mass casualty incident, specifically tailored to simulate an active shooter scenario. At our headquarters, participants will be thrust into a realistic environment using simunition training devices, where they will learn to balance the critical priorities of stopping the threat, rendering aid to the injured, and calling for help.

    Experience the chaos and urgency of an active threat situation firsthand as you navigate through a transformed environment designed to simulate an active shooter incident. Practice essential skills such as triage, hemorrhage control, and patient extraction under simulated high-stress conditions, providing invaluable experience in treating casualties.

    Gain insight into the perspective of both responders and victims, fostering empathy and a deeper understanding of the challenges faced in such emergencies.   • Patient Assessment

    You cannot treat what you cannot find. This training block will focus on learning how to assess the wounded for injuries that can be addressed, as well as ensuring the effectiveness of interventions. Consistency is key to efficiently treating the wounded under stressful circumstances. We will review the M.A.R.C.H. Assessment, its structure, and the practical application of each step. Most importantly, we will practice imbuing this skill with the resilience needed to navigate the stress and chaos of medical emergencies. Mastering patient assessment is the cornerstone skill for medical responders to identify and treat all injuries successfully.

You will have a break for lunch. You can bring your own food or leave and purchase lunch close to HQ.

Children 14 years and older may purchase a ticket and attend with a paying parent. Please note the subject matter is intense and there will be simulated blood in the scenarios.
